A Rainy Monday

Happy Monday everyone, although it’s raining and not very pleasant outside. We did however manage to have a respectable Sunday by the lake. The boat’s not ready yet (but we’re close) so my wife took me to one of our favorite spots for lunch for my birthday. Some friends joined us and we had an outstanding time. What I liked most was the boats that came to the restaurant. Yes I was jealous, but very happy to see families out on the water enjoying the sunshine.

With spring upon us and with the weather like it is more and more boaters are starting to get the itch to have the boat cleaned up, serviced and ready for the water. Like we’ve been preaching for several years don’t wait to set up those appointments. Again, we hear way too often of people waiting until the Monday before Memorial Day weekend to get their boat serviced - and then they get upset because everyone is booked! Right now most of our providers are three to four weeks out. Yep, three to four weeks before your boat will be seen. That makes it the first of May. But the big unknown is parts availability.

Last year a big company was backordered on what should be a normally stocked item, impellers, and that threw some of our providers back another two weeks. So like we’ve been preaching don’t wait!!! If you have been following us on social media as well as here you know we have some big events planned. One of them is our On the Water Boat Show which takes place on Saturday May 6 at Tellico Marina. This is our second show at Tellico and we have placed everything closer to the docks and will have two new dealers participating this year, Leisure Kraft Pontunes and Roane Marine and Powersports. We’re very excited to have them join Premier Watersports, Mountain Cove Marine and Sunny Marine.

Another event is the Tennessee River, Warriors Poker Run to benefit Honor Air. This is a two day event, August 4 at Tellico Marina.
It’s going to be a big summer of fun on the water. So get that boat ready to go and we’ll see you there!
